More 202 Closures Coming

Lanes will be closed on 202 overnight next week.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that one lane will be closed on northbound and southbound Route 202 between Boot Road and Route 30 in West Goshen, East Goshen and West Whiteland townships, Chester County, on Sunday through Thursday (Nov. 6-10) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for bridge repairs.

The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $4,142,600 project to repair and replace bridge joints on various highways in the Philadelphia region. A.P. Construction, Inc. of Blackwood, N.J., is the general contractor on the 100 percent state financed project. The work on this project is expected to be completed by June 2012.

PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major highways before heading out.
