Joining us for Mom Talk today is Sayre Cotherman, a stay at home mom and student; Jane Thompson-Rosenzweig, nutrition blogger (http://optimalhealthmama.blogspot.com/) and grad student; Katie Beck, stay at home mom and part-time bookkeeper; and the author, Sarah Alderman, freelance writer and realtor.
Patch: Aside from Longwood Gardens, where is your favorite outdoor place to walk with a stroller?
Sayre: Since I am from South Florida, I am pretty excited to be able to walk anywhere in Pennsylvania. The weather is better, scenery is more lush and there is a surplus of parks. As far as my favorites for walking with a stroller, I love Ridley Creek State Park- also good for doing the trails if you have a "baby backpack." I also love pushing the stroller around the borough- people are ALWAYS willing to help a lady with a stroller. And if you feel like doing a short walk and then letting the kiddo play at a playground before grabbing a bite, I would suggest Goose Creek Park.

Jane: My favorite outdoor place to walk/run with a stroller has to be the Struble Trail in Downingtown.
Katie: I honestly like walking through town with the babies in the stroller. When they were infants the uneven bricks used to lull them to sleep in no time. Now they love watching the world go by. I also like Oakbourne Park, down on South Concord (I think its Westtown Township, now that I think about it), though we've only played on their swings, we haven't ever walked their trails. Of course, the Struble Trail and the new trail along 322 are big hits too.

Sarah: I always loved Struble Trail, too. It’s nice and wide and shady, so I never got stroller anxiety as relative to runners or bikers, and the girls could really zone out and relax. Now that I live in West Chester, though, I like East Goshen the best. The terrain is really hilly across the street from the park….maybe at times too hilly when you’re pushing two toddlers and the humidity is high. But it kicks your butt if you’re into that sort of thing.
