Moms Talk: Swimming Lessons
Our council of local moms talk about swimming lessons and other activities their kids participate in.
Today we have assembled a panel of three local moms to get the inside scoop on what to do, where to buy stuff, and where to dine with the toddler set.
Have you ever had your little one in swim lessons? Where did you take them and what was your experience? If they haven't done swimming, any type of dance, gymnastics, soccer, music, etc that you really liked?
Nicole: We have not yet enrolled our little duck in formal swimming lessons, but we did participate in the “Mommy and Me” swim class at on Sunday mornings. We plan to enroll her in lessons at ACAC once she turns 3, which is the minimum age requirement.

Sarah: Nicole, I love ACAC but that snack bar always seemed to suck me in and negate my work out! We belong to the YMCA and are really looking forward to the outdoor pool this year. The twins haven’t had real lessons, but they’re Pisces, so….I can just throw them in right? They’ll take it from there?
Julie: I have never done swim lessons, but a lot of people go to WCU and love it. However, I take Whitney to the Little Gym in Exton and we have a great time. The staff is friendly and the other mom and dads are really nice!

Sayre: Max is currently in swim lessons at the . I have class at that time so Dad and Pop (Grandfather) are in charge of taking him. Max is doing well in the pool, unfortunately kids have to take a beginner class before they can take the 2 year old class- Max turns 2 in a week so he ends up being a little bored but I feel better just knowing that he's getting comfortable in the water.
