Moms Talk: Restaurants

Area moms talk about their favorite family-friendly restaurants.

Today we have assembled a panel of three local moms to get the inside scoop on what to do, where to buy stuff, and where to dine with the toddler set. Joining us are Nicole Wiley, Allison Treston, and Ramsey Cotherman.

Patch: What local restaurant have you found to be the most kid-friendly? Outside of, ya know,    Chick-fil-a...

Nicole: We've been Friday night regulars at the Red Sombrero, both BC (before child) and AD (after daughter). The food is tasty, affordable and no one notices or cares that our little one quite literally drinks salsa directly out of the bowl, which is a notable plus.

Ramsey:  Max is an all-over-the-place child and we have had some of our best breakfasts at Penn's Table. The food is always yummy and well-priced. And the staff is usually made up of adorable blondes- who Max (and his daddy) tend to be partial to. We always feel welcome!

Allison:  We love Iron Hill. The kids menu there is pretty extensive and has a lot of healthy options for the kids. I feel like they do as good a job as I could cooking for them at home. It's also big and loud so I don't have to worry about keeping the kids quiet or in their seats.

Sarah: I agree, Allison, Iron Hill has the best kids menu with lots of out-of-the-box dishes. Even two year olds get sick of chicken fingers and French fries.
