Moms Talk: Picnics

Sarah Alderman and our Moms Council talk about their favorite spots for a picnic.

Today we have assembled a panel of three local moms to get the inside scoop on what to do, where to buy stuff, and where to dine with the toddler set.

Favorite picnic spots around town?

Nicole:  Do the outdoor tables at Talula’s Table in Kennett qualify as a picnic?  The baked goods are a big hit, as is people watching, and the close proximity to Mexican ice cream usually seals the deal!

Sarah: I like taking the twins to Stroud’s Nature Preserve off of Strasburg Rd and the park off of Rt 842. There’s tons of space for the girls to run around like maniacs, lots of hot guys walking their dogs, and plenty of photo ops to keep me happy, too!

Julie: My favorite picnic spot is where you can grill on sight!

Sayre:  I am VERY VERY VERY excited about picnicking as much as possible this spring/summer. I can't say enough wonderful things about Everhart Park (I should mention that I live a block away from it). It has enough space to accommodate families and is so well maintained. I'm also going to be checking out any open air concerts that will be taking place at or Thornbury Park.
