Why Go: The West Chester Growers Market is open each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from May through November. Local farmers, crafters and bakers present specialty food items and produce, and musicians are often on hand to provide a fun, fair-like atmosphere. Many weeks include special activities for children, like ice cream giveaways or games.

Why Go: The West Chester Railroad partners with the Pig Out BBQ Pit for a special train ride with BBQ dinner. Depart the Market Street Station and arrive at the Glen Mills picnic grove where you will enjoy Pulled Pork BBQ, Baby Back Ribs, Homemade sides, Pulled chicken BBQ and Corn Dogs along the Chester Creek. Tickets must be ordered from the Pig Out BBQ Pit.
