Why Go: Learn about West Chester's ghostly past as you listen to stories of lost souls of the Underground Railroad and see where gallows once stood. The Ghost Tours of West Chester begin at The Lincoln Room each Friday and Saturday in October. Doors open at 7 p.m. for sandwiches, snacks and beverages, tours leave at 8 p.m. Dress for walking and the weather. Reservations are required.

Why Go: Rustin High School hosts the US Scholastic Band Association Marching Band Competition, showcasing local high school marching bands.

Where/When: West Goshen Twp. Community Park, North 5 Points Rd., West Chester, Saturday, October 15, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: It may not be a Hollywood premiere, but the night is certainly full of stars at the J. Leon Hagerty Ampitheater. Join West Goshen Township Parks and Recreation for their Fall Movie Series for families. Guests are encouraged to bring a dry good item for the West Chester Food Cupboard and the Veterans' Administration hospital in Coatesville. Movies will be shown at the West Goshen Township Administration Building in the event of rain. Check the website for movies to be shown.
