Why Go: The East Goshen Farmers' Market boasts locally-grown produce, meats and baked goods along with artisan soaps, flowers and candies. Pick up some goodies for dinner at home, or bring your appetite and dine on "ready to eat" meals in the Pavillion. There are activities for the kids and live music to round out the evening.

Why Go: Join Barclay Friends for the 7th Annual Festival of Gardens Tour. This year's tour features gardens in the Northwest Neighborhood of the Borough. Registration is held at Barclay Friends, 700 North Franklin Street, West Chester, with a reception and plant sale at Barclay Friends following the tour. All proceeds benefit Barclay Friends' Horticulture Therapy Program. Purchase tickets online.

Pricing: $20 per person/advance sale; $25 per person on the tour day at Barclay Friends

Where/When: Corner of North Church Street and West Market Street, Saturday, September 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: The West Chester Growers Market is open each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from May through November. Local farmers, crafters and bakers present specialty food items and produce, and musicians are often on hand to provide a fun, fair-like atmosphere. Many weeks include special activities for children, like ice cream giveaways or games.
