1. An Evening of New and Emerging Female Playwrights

Where/When: West Chester University, Goshen Studio Theatre, Feb. 18, 8 p.m.

Why Go: Professional directors Kristen O'Rourke, Charles DelMarcelle and Aaron Oster lend their talents to "Woman Works: An Evening of New and Emerging Female Playwrights" at West Chester University. The presentation includes two one-act plays; "Inverted", written by Andrea Kennedy-Hart and directed by Charlie DelMarcelle and Kristen O'Rourke and "Nightshift(ing)", written by Joy Cutler and directed by Aaron Oster.

2. West Chester Rustin vs. Penncrest

Where/When: Rustin High School, Feb.18, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: The Golden Knights start the District 1 playoffs at home.  Watch standouts Cory Blake and Anthony Nash shine as they try to make a deep post-season run.

Cost: $3 for students $5 for everyone else

3. Book Discussion with C. James Trotman

Where/When: Chester County Book and Music Company, Feb. 19, 1 p.m.

Why Go: C. James Trotman, Ph.D., founder of the Frederick Douglas Institute at West Chester University, discusses his new book and offers insight into the spiritial life of Frederick Douglas.

Cost: Free

4. Celebration of Black History Month

Where/When: American Helicopter Museum and Education Center, Feb. 19, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Why Go: American Helicopter Museum & Education Center celebrates Black History Month with some special events! Actress Daisy Century presents re-enactments of the first licensed African-American pilot and 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. John Grant, Tuskegee Airman, will speak at noon in the museum's theater.

Cost: Adults - $10.00 Seniors - $8.00 Children* and Students with ID - $7.00
