Where/When: Corner of North Church Street and West Market Street, Saturday, August 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: The West Chester Growers Market is open each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from May through November. Local farmers, crafters and bakers present specialty food items and produce, and musicians are often on hand to provide a fun, fair-like atmosphere. Many weeks include special activities for children, like ice cream giveaways or games.

Why Go: The United States Navy Jazz Band, "The Commodores" performs at West Goshen Township Community Park as part of the Summer Concert Series. The concert will be held at the West Chester East High School auditorium in the event of rain.The concert is free - guests are encouraged to bring a dry good donation for the West Chester Food Cupboard and the Coatesville Veterans' Administration Hospital. Check the West Goshen website after 3 p.m. on the day of the concert for rain determination.
