Flood Watch Issued for West Chester

So it begins, again.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for West Chester going into effect early Friday afternoon and lasting until Saturday evening.

Experts predict that the area could receive two to three inches of rain, with some areas getting up to five.  The weather service also says that some areas could see less than two inches.

Forecasters say we could receive two batches of rain: the first coming midday Friday with one to three inches and the second coming late Friday evening into early Saturday morning with another one to three inches.

A flood watch means that floods are possible but nor necessarily imminent.  Please check back in as we track the storm.  If the watch changes to a warning it means that severe weather is imminent.
