Flood Warning in Effect until 9 p.m. Sunday

Two to three inches of rain expected to fall in the region.

The National Weather service has issued a Flood Warning for the West Chester area in effect until 9 p.m. Sunday evening.

Forecasters call for one to three inches of rain to fall in the area throughout the day, swelling local creeks and rivers.

The rain is expected to continue into the evening, increasing the chance for flooding.

The National Weather service advises that drivers do not try to drive through large pools of standing water on road surfaces.  Experts warn that these pools may be deeper than the driver thinks, and driving through them can cause damage to the vehicle as well as personal injury.
