Flash Flood Watch in Effect

The national weather service issues a flash flood watch.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch in effect until late Friday night.

Conditions in West Chester have approached the near saturation point with an additional half an inch to another inch of rain expected through tomorrow.

In the last 18 days, the Philadelphia area has received nearly a foot of rain already setting the all time record for August, with two inches of that rain falling today.

Remember, one inch of rain equals about one foot of snow.

More rain is expected overnight Friday between 2-8 a.m. increasing the risk of flash floods.
