Expect Delays on 202, Again

Seven more months of this.

PennDOT workers will continue road surface improvements on Route  202 between Route 100 and Matlack Street.

The $19.3 million project began in May of 2010 and is expected to be completed May, 2012.

Weekend and weeknight closures are scheduled on Route 202 between Route 100 and Matlack Street in , Chester County for paving and bridge construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today.

On Saturday (Oct. 15) from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Route 202 will be reduced from two lanes to one in both directions between Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and Route 322 for work on the overhead Paoli Pike bridge.

On Monday through Friday (Oct. 17-21), northbound Route 202 will be reduced from two lanes to one from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and southbound Route 202 will be down to one lane from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

PennDOT advised motorists to allow additional time for travel on Route 202 during construction or use an alternate route because backups will occur.
