Construction Continues on Route 202

PennDot will again be closing lanes during the evening hours.

PennDot workers will continue road surface improvements on Route 202 between the Route 100 and the West Chester Pike interchanges beginning this Tuesday evening.

The $19.3 million project began in May of 2010 and is expected to be completed May, 2012.

On Tuesday through Thursday (May 10-12) from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning, southbound Route 202 will be reduced from two lanes to one while crews saw cut areas of deteriorated concrete pavement on the highway.

Then from 8 p.m. Friday (May 13) to 8 p.m. Sunday (May 15), southbound Route 202 will be restricted to one lane for the removal and replacement of damaged concrete pavement.

PennDOT advises motorists in this area to allow additional time to travel south on Route 202 during the weeknight and weekend operations or use an alternate route because backups and delays will occur.
