Chester County Historical Society Hosts Antiques Show At Westtown School

From samplers to soup tureens, there's something for everyone at the Chester County Antiques Show.

This weekend, the Westtown School Field House will see more antiques than athletes as the venue for the 29th Annual Chester County Antiques Show, its theme this year: “Collecting Knowledge: A Lifelong Pursuit.”

A benefit for the Chester County Historical Society (CCHS), the show features over 50 dealers showing and selling everything from furniture to folk art, rugs to rare books.

Over 2,000 browsers and buyers are expected for the event, which – in addition to opportunities to purchase just the right antique snuff box or sampler for your collection – will feature special exhibits from the CCHS collection and lectures on quilts and ceramics.

The festivities kick off on Friday night at 5 p.m. with a special sneak peek for $200 ticket holders. The preview continues from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. when, for $130, guests can browse the booths, enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a light buffet, even participate in a scavenger hunt.
