Townhouse Business is Booming at West Chester Development

West Chester's in-town townhouse development is attracting a lot of interest.

Business is booming, or at least hammering, nailing, wiring and selling at the Union Station at West Chester Townhouse Development in West Chester.

Work is nearing completion on the third of nine buildings. The development project, as approved, will be home to 87 townhouse units when finished. Ingerman developers from Cherry Hill New Jersey is the  developer for the project which is being built near the Good Will Fire Company Headquarters. The site is bordered by Barnard-Union and Franklin-Adams Street in the Borough of West Chester.

Ingerman Development Associate Kevin Dowd says "we are currently building our third building." Down tells West Chester Patch that ground breaking on the fourth of nine buildings is expected to happen later in the summer.

The townhouses are built with five facing each side of the building. The development's website describes the units this way:

State of the art four story townhomes offer open floorplans that are great for entertaining. All units include ground level entry foyers and 2 car tandem garages; luxurious kitchens open to dining area and living room; three bedrooms; 2 ½ baths; front & back covered porches; option for a third full bath in all lofts; stone, stucco & vinyl exteriors offer a virtually maintenance free living for today’s busy lifestyle.

The Union Station at West Chester website lists three units still available in the building that's currently under construction. Two rear units in the middle of the building list for $261,000. A front-facing end unit is listed at $268,900.

Patch is awaiting more information from the real estate broker about when more of the townhouses will start coming on the market as construction continues.
