1. Meet the Brewer

Where/When: Iron Hill Brewery, Feb. 4, 5-8p.m.

Why Go: John Haggerty of New Holland Brewing Co. will be there to discuss his craft and sample brews.  It's perfect for the craft-beer aficionado. 

Cost: Depends on you.  Most Iron Hill beers are in the four to six dollar range and entrees can be between $10-19.

2. Free First Friday

Where/When: The Chester County Historical Society on Feb. 4, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Why Go: The Chester County Historical Society opens its doors for free on the first Friday of every month.  Its great if you want to learn more about local history.

Cost: Free, free and more free.

3. Brigadoon

Where/When: Henderson High School on Feb. 3, 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 6 at 1:30 p.m.

Why Go: Watch our local kids display their talents in this musical that features a mystical Scottish village, kilts and bagpipes.

Cost: $10 adults, $5 staudents and children

4. Miss West Chester University, 2011

Where/When: West Chester University at the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall on Feb. 5, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: The University presents a night of formalwear, talent competitions and production numbers as Miss West Chester University 2011 is crowned.  Ticket proceeds benefit the winner's charity platform.

Cost: $8 general admission, $3 with studen I.D. or children under 12
