Henderson Scores in First Scrimmage of the Season

It's a chance for coaches to get an up-close look at players in game action.

It's only a scrimmage, they don't even use the scoreboard, but the Henderson High School warriors scored the only touchdown Saturday in a practice game against the Phoenixville Phantoms.

Coaches are on the field during the plays, guiding players at literally every step and call of the game.  In the end, only the Warriors got the ball across the goal line during Saturday's action, but nobody is really keeping score. The coaches are keeping track and takig notes on how each player performed in a game situation.

Sunday the Warriors will be busy off the field staffing the team's annual mattress sale at the school from 10 a.m.-5 p.m..

posting for the Mattress event on Facebook says "The Mattress Sale is coming back to Henderson..  if you or someone you know needs a new mattress in the next few months, please consider waiting for the fundraiser."
