"The Ecstasies Above" Presented by The Pennsylvania Academy of Performing Arts

The Pennsylvania Academy of Performing Arts (PAPA) returns to the stage this August to present their summer concert series, The Ecstacies Above, performed by Ariana Women's Choir and Orpheus Men's Choir.

This summer's program will take the audience through a spiritual and emotional journey. First, it will show flight can allow a person to transcend his or her limitations and become

closer to God and the spiritual world. At the sane time, it will explore the need for human interaction and the pull toward continual growth and change. In the end, the music will show the audience how the big, celestial things and the small, earthy things are all interconnected and equally important.

Under the direction of Christopher G. McGinley, assisted by S. Katherine Shealy, Ariana

Women’s Choir and Orpheus Men’s Choir will perform two shared concerts featuring

pieces such as “The Boy Who Picked Up His Feet to Fly” by Joshua Shank,“Shenandoah” arranged by Angela Fox, “High Flight” by Karen Linford Robinson, and many more. Discounted tickets may be purchased online at http://paperforming.ticketleap.com/.
