Philadelphia has submitted a bid to host the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

Fourteen other cities are bidding to host the convention, NBC is reporting

Former Gov. Ed Rendell is the chairman of a nonprofit group that will try to raise $50 million to host the convention at the Wells Fargo Center, NBC said.

The Democratic National Committee's timeline on selecting a host city was unclear Friday evening.

The city hosted the Republican National Convention in 2000.

Yeah, lets host it. Then we'll see all the homosexuals, deviants and others who inhabit the Democratic party show what we already know about them.

Philly can't manage its school system and they want the hassle of a convention, with inevitable protests, etc? Ridiculous!!.

It would be great and very historic. Philly is where it all started and would be the perfect city for our first female president to address our country.
