Moms Talk: The Mother of all Outgrown Sales

CCMOMC's semi-annual sale comes to United Sports Center tomorrow

It is a frenzy usually reserved for U2 concerts and the tag sale at Kleinfeld’s. Twice a year, savvy moms swarm to the Chester County Mothers of Multiple Club’s outgrown sale, which has returned to United Sports Center for tomorrow’s sale. Held there in the past, the sale has more recently been held at Church Farm School, which could not contain the number of shoppers the sale draws.

While the privilege of selling is restricted to members of the club, shopping opens to the public tomorrow morning at 9:00 and ends at 12:00. Don’t sleep in, bargain hunters; the line begins to form early, with other multiple clubs permitted to shop at 8:00 a.m.

Because selling club members are allowed to shop tonight, and sister-clubs early tomorrow, lining up to ensure timely entry is encouraged if you are seeking specific gear or togs for your tots. Aside from outgrown clothes, there are always plenty of carseats, baby gates, high chairs, nursery décor items, books, toys, strollers….you name it, the club is selling it. Club members scour through the items up for sale prior to public admittance to ensure that stained or defective items are removed from the floor.

The sale includes maternity clothing, with incredible prices for items in practically new condition. The Fall sale also features a wide array of Halloween costumes to choose from, as well as winter coats. For past year attendees, note the sale has gotten even better as the checkout process has been streamlined with bar-coded tags. A no-brainer for any new or expectant parent, grandparent or day care owner.
