The Nutcracker

  • When: Thursday, Dec. 13 at 1 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 and 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m.
  • Where: Henderson Senior High School, West Chester
  • Why Go: The Chester County Ballet Company presents The Nutcracker.  For reserved tickets, please call the box office at 610-431-2333.
  • Cost: $7 - $50

Artisans Exchange Indoor Food and Farmers Market

  • When: Every Saturday until April 27 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Where: 208 Carter Dr, West Chester
  • Why Go: This is the region’s first indoor market featuring organically produced foods made right on premise. Enjoy browsing through over 25 local food artisans and farmers, interactive tasting sessions, hands-on demonstrations, live music and more!
  • Cost: Free

Holiday Triple Threat

  • When: Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m.
  • Where: Church and Market Street, West Chester 
  • Why Go: Choose your race. Race as a 3-member team through the downtown West Chester loop (1.67 miles) or race as an individual runner and attempt to trump the relays (5 Miles) to win it all. A portion of this race benefits the Great Guys Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to Bringing Hope Home by financially supporting families battling cancer in the Philadelphia area.
  • Cost: $20 - $90 *depends on when and how you register.

Breakfast with Santa

  • When: Saturday, Dec. 15
  • Where: Timothy's
  • Why Go: Join a favorite West Goshen holiday tradition with a new twist. This year Santa takes time from his busy schedule to join Township residents for breakfast at Timothy's in the Parkway Shopping Center. You can meet the big guy, have a hot buffet breakfast, and decorate your own gingerbread men on Saturday, December 15th between 9:00 and 11:00 AM. Because space is limited, this event is restricted to residents of West Goshen Township. Register by December 10.

Chester County Choral Society's 'Sing Forth This Day' Concert

  • When: Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Where:
  • Why Go: Celebrate the Chester County Choral Society's 40th Anniversary with their “Sing Forth This Day” concert with the West Chester Brass Quintet.
  • Cost: Students - $5; Seniors - $12, Adults - $15

Santa's Express 

  • When: Saturday and Sundays until December 16
  • Where:
  • Why Go: Join Santa for a 90 minute journey on a heated decorated train through the Chester Creek Valley. Santa will be greeting everyone at Market Street Station and then going along for the ride to Glen Mills. Once at Glen Mills passengers can disembark and explore the historic station. There are plenty of photo opportunities on Santa's lap inside the station. Upon return to West Chester, all passengers receive treats from Santa!
  • Cost: Adults - $20; Ages 2-12: $13; Toddlers 9 months – 23 months - $6.00

Santa Arrives by Whirly Bird

  • When: Saturday, December 15 at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
  • Where:
  • Why Go: Santa trades in his sleigh for a helicopter and lands at the American Helicopter Museum for photos, treats and fun. Helicopter rides are also offered from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Cost: $10

Author Event: Jacqueline Resnick

  • When: Saturday, December 15 at 11 a.m.
  • Where: Chester County Book & Music Company
  • Why Go: Jacqueline Resnick, from Wynnewood, PA,  will visit to sign THE DARING ESCAPE OF THE MISFIT MENAGERIE.  For all signings, books must be purchased at our store.  Please have your receipt with you if you are attending the event. You can preorder your book(s) online or prepay by phone, which will also reserve you a place in the signing line at large events. The Nutcracker

  • When: Dec. 7 – Dec. 16

  • Why Go: Enjoy an all-ages cast of over 80 dancers and actors create and bring to life The Nutcracker. As the narrative unfolds, comical high jinx, holiday fun, and lavishly genteel romance transpire against a backdrop of antique decors and picturesquely animated action. All of the elements combine to make Brandywine Ballet’s The Nutcracker a favorite among local audiences.
  • Cost: $25, $30, $40

Author Event: Kathy McCullough

  • When: Sunday, December 16 at 1 p.m.
  • Where: Chester County Book & Music Company
