Running of the Turkeys

  • When: Sunday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m.
  • Where: Kildares Irish Pub, 18 W Gay Street, West Chester
  • Why Go: Help kick-off the John DeBella’s Annual Turkey Drop at this very fun event.  Bring a frozen turkey and run a mile through the streets of West Chester.  You may transport your turkey in any manner.  There will be prizes for the heaviest turkey, runners with the most turkeys, the most creative turkey carry, and the best holiday outfits.
  • Cost: Frozen Turkey

25th Anniversary Gala Concert 

  • When: Friday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1:30 p.m.
  • Where:
  • Why Go: The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Chester County presnents their Gala Concert celebrating their 25 years.  The concert will be filled with favorite Gilbert & Sullivan highlights, feature popular stars from the past and present, all accompanied by the chorus, orchestra and Jon Williams on piano.
  • Cost: $20 - Adult; $15- Senior; $10 - Youth (through 21)  

Promise of Living Concert

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: Calvary Lutheran Church 730 S New St, West Chester,
  • Why Go: The Pennsylvania Academy of Performing Arts will present "The Promise of Living" Performed by the "Masterworks" and "Chamber" Choirs and Under the Direction of S. Katherine Shealy assisted by Christopher G McGinley
  • Cost: $10/Adult, $8/Student or Senior, $5 each/groups of 10 or more

Benefit for Bella

  • When: Sunday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m.
  • Where: Kildares Irish Pub, 18 W Gay Street, West Chester
  • Why Go:  Celebrate the life of Kildare's former employee Mary Reck and help raise money for her daughter Bella's education fund.  Enjoy domestic beers, well liquors and house wine, raffles, prizes and live music from Attic Sounds, Marys dad's band. 
  • Cost: $20
