Motorized bikes are not new, but they are vastly improved and available on Gay Street.
Love to bike, but hate the hills? That sounds like thousands of people who are itching to hit the streets and save gas these days. It's also the driving theme at Hybrid Cycles on Gay Street. Hybrid Cycles is one of the shops taking part in West Chester's first annual Wellness Walk. The bikes are equipped with motors that can help give you that little extra push up a hill and make the difference between powering through a bike ride or powering down and giving up. Hybrid Cycles owner and President Gary DiVincenzo has been in business for four years and opened the store at 126 Gay Stree three years ago. Not surprisingly he says new lithium battery technology changed the landscape for hybrid bikes about four years ago. New battery technology…

The people behind the seasonal outdoor market say their West Chester location could be in jeopardy.

An announcement on the Market's website says the West Chester Borough Council is considering developing the parking lot at Church and Chestnut Streets where the market is held on Saturday mornings from May through November. Now comes another Barnes-related change: One of several homes he owned on Latch’s Lane in Merion Station is going on the market. The asking price: $3,295,000. The home at 379 North Latch’s Lane has 7 bedrooms, 5 full baths and two powder rooms and 10,000 square feet of living space on the first and second floors, according to Realtor Beth Samberg with Prudential Fox & Roach.
