West Chester Police Blotter: Man Arrested for Possession of Several Controlled Substances
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
DUI: On Nov. 8, West Chester Police arrested Austin Klaus in the 50 block of West Market Street at 7:51 p.m. following a traffic stop. Klaus was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. After a search police found Klaus to allegedly be in possession of several controlled substances. Klaus was arraigned and bail was set at $25,000.
Public Drunkenness: Police arrested 23-year-old West Chester resident Evan Kinman on Nov. 8, at 3:34 p.m. after reports of a male allegedly acting irate and disorderly in the area of High and Washington Streets. As a result of an investigation, Kinman was arrested for alleged public drunkenness and possession of prescription medication.
DUI: On Nov. 4, at 12:36 a.m., police arrested Aston resident Dustin Gettel for an alleged DUI after Gettel made an illegal left hand turn out of the Bicentennial Garage onto North High Street. Gettel allegedly failed a field sobriety test and was taken to Chester County Hospital for blood testing.
