Robbery Suspect Shoots Self in the Foot
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
Robbery: On Nov. 25, at approximately 3 a.m., a 17-year-old Pottstown resident walked into the Chester County Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his foot. An investigation linked the shooting with an armed robbery that occurred earlier in the evening at the intersection of Dean and Church Streets. During the robbery, the suspect pointed a shotgun in the face of a 21-year-old pedestrian and demanded the pedestrian’s items. Investigators believe that the suspect shot himself in the foot as he fled the robbery with the pedestrian’s backpack.
