Arrests Down 35 Percent, Police Chief Says
West Chester Police Chief Scott Bohn says arrests are down 35 percent compared to the same time period last year.
According to West Chester Police Chief Scott Bohn arrests in the borough have fallen 35 percent for 2013 when compared to the same time period in 2012.
From the beginning of 2012 to February, the West Chester Police Department 170 people were arrested and charged with 190 offenses.
In the same time period in 2013, 109 people have been arrested and charged with 128 offenses.
From Feb. 4-10 the West Chester police department made 23 arrests of persons ages 18-25. Those arrests break down by the following offenses:
Underage Drinking 7
Public Drunkenness 5
Open Container 2
Public Indecency 1
Disorderly Conduct 2
Drug Offenses 1
Furnishing Alcohol 1
