Police Blotter: Man Arrested with .323 BAC

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

DUI: On Jan. 31, were dispatched for an erratic driver driving east on Route 162 in the area of Highland Road in East Bradford Township.  Officers located the vehicle after it had pulled into the Bradford Plaza Shopping Center.

Officers asked 52-year-old West Chester resident Charles Lilley to exit the vehicle.  Officers observed Lilley to allegedly be unsteady on his feet, stumbling from the vehicle and using the door frame for balance.  When walking, Lilley’s balance was very unsteady, and he had to be supported on both sides by officers.

No field sobriety tests were given because Lilley’s balance was allegedly too unsteady.  Officers took him into custody.

Lilley was taken to the Emergency Room where he consented to have blood taken.  According to his Alco-Sensor reading, Lilley’s BAC allegedly registered at .323 percent.
