West Chester University's Asplundh Concert Hall was packed Friday night, as friends, family and fellow students cheered on the 20 young women competing for the title of Miss WCU 2012.

Contestants participated in an interview with judges before the show, and on stage, competed in the categories of casual wear, talent, evening gown and on-stage interview. Judges rated contestants on each of the categories and also considered contestants' ability to represent the college in the upcoming year.

At the end of the night, junior pharmeceuticals major Alexis Stinson was crowned the winner, running on a platform of Aid to South Africa.
