Overnight Road Work To Limit Route 100 Travel

PennDOT released the contractor’s schedule for this week.

Lane restrictions could impact nighttime travel on Route 30 and Route 100 this week.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is working on a 14-month project to install and replace raised pavement markers on several state highways in the Greater Philadelphia region continues next week in Philadelphia and Chester County.

Here’s the schedule, weather permitting, of the work next week from PennDOT:

  • Lane restrictions will occur on northbound and southbound Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) between Route 30 and Swedesford Road in West Whiteland Township on Sunday (Oct. 7) through Tuesday (Oct. 9) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.;
  • Lane restrictions will occur on the ramps at the interchange of Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) at Route 30 in West Whiteland Township on Sunday (Oct. 7) to Tuesday (Oct. 9) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.;
  • Lane restrictions will occur on northbound and southbound Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) between Ticonderoga Boulevard and Route 401 in Upper Uwchlan and West Vincent twps. on Wednesday (Oct. 10) through Friday (Oct. 12) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Crews will install and replace reflective markers along center lines, edge lines and ramps to improve visibility and safety for drivers at night and in bad weather such as rain, fog and snow.

During installation, crews will occupy one lane to conduct a slow-moving operation. Motorists are advised to be alert of this moving operation and to expect possible slowdowns when driving near work crews.

D.W. Miller, Inc. of Huntingdon, Pa. is the contractor on the $304,310 project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds. The project is scheduled to be completed by October 2013.

I hope I can make it to work on time, although I can see why the work is being carried out, I feel it is totally carried out for the sole purpose to disrupt the good folk who use this particular highway at this time, I will call on the people to help me disrupt the work men by attacking them and machinery and equipment,
Yours faithfully
