Marijuana Cigar Gets Man Arrested, Police Say

Another man creating a disturbance on E. Gay Street was found with a large chunk of cocaine, according to West Chester Police.

 

The following incident reports were provided by the West Chester Borough Police Department. Arrest, when mentioned, does not suggest conviction.

Cocaine Charge on East Gay

On Sunday, West Chester Police say they stopped a 22-year-old Lansdale man for creating a disturbance on the 100 block of East Gay Street. After the man was brought back to the station, police determined he had a clear plastic bag that contained what appeared to be a large chunk of cocaine, police say. The man was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine.

Marijuana Arrest on Prescott Alley

On Saturday, West Chester Police stopped a 21-year-old Limerick man on the 100 block of East Prescott Alley. Police found the man to be in possession of a “blunt” cigar containing marijuana, police say. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, police say.

Drunk on South High

On Saturday night after midnight, West Chester Police made contact with a 21-year-old Landenberg man on the 200 block of South High Street. Police say they took the man into custody for public drunkenness. While in custody, police say they found the man was in possession of what appeared to be marijuana. He was charged with possession and released.

Are you kidding me? The West Chester Police need to get a life! How ridiculous, arresting folks for smoking weed.

The police were probably just bored since WCU and the underage drinking crowd were on spring break.
