Local Christmas Tree Disposal Schedule
Sadly it will soon be time to get rid of your Christmas tree. Here's information on how to do it where you live.
The holiday season ended just last week, but, if your house is anything like mine, your Christmas tree is probably still up. You shuld really get rid of that thing. It's a fire hazard.
Here's a breakdown of how to get rid of your tree depending on where you live.
West Chester Borough: Borough residents can simply leave their trees at curbside on trash day. However, the borough will only pick them up for the frist two weeks in January. After that you're on your own.
West Goshen Township: West Goshen residents have two options for Christmas tree disposal. First, they can leave their trees curbside on Saturday, Jan. 19. Residents can also take their trees to West Goshen Community Park and leave them in the parking lot for mulching.
Westtown Township: The township will grab your tree curbside on Saturday, January 12. Residents must have their trees curbside by 7 a.m., completely empty of everything including tinsel and not in a bag.

East Goshen Township dates are messed up (looks like they were pulled from a 2012 calendar)....is it Weds, Jan 9 and 23, 2012 or Friday, Jan 11 and 25? Anybody know the real dates?

Your spent tree can make a lovely haven for birds in the corner of your yard.
Add suet clippings or seed contraptions: birds are happy feeding, you are happy looking at birds. Compost it up in Spring > soil happy.
