Get Out: A Weekend Guide, Holiday Edition

A quick rundown of some of the holiday events going on this weekend in West Chester.

 

Christmas time is here.  So here's a list of local events celebrating the season. 

Here Comes Santa Claus

Where/When: The American Helicopter Museum, Sat. Dec. 17 at 11 a.m. and 1: 30 p.m.

Why Go: Santa trades in his sleigh for a helicopter and lands at the American Helicopter Museum for photos, treats and fun.

Pricing: Admission to the museum

Santa Takes a Train

Where/When: The West Chester Railroad Company, Sat. and Sun., Dec. 17-18, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Why Go: Join Santa Claus aboard the West Chester Railroad's Santa's Express for a 90 minute trip featuring holiday entertainment with treats for the kids.

Pricing: $20

The Nutcracker

Where/When: Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, West Chester University, Sat., Dec. 17 at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. and Sun., Dec. 18, at 6 p.m.

Why Go: Brandywine Ballet presents its annual performance of "The Nutcracker," now in its 32nd season.

Pricing: $25-40
