Community Foundation to Hold Red Carpet Event

The Uptown! Entertainment Alliance will host a Red Carpet Premiere at the Chester County Historical Society on April 14th, 2012 at 7:30 pm

The Uptown! Entertainment Alliance will host a Red Carpet Premiere at the Chester County Historical Society on April 14th, 2012 at 7:30 pm featuring a performance by Broadway star and former Miss America, Kate Shindle. This will be the Uptown! Entertainment Alliance’s kick-off event for their mission of bringing a permanent theatre venue to the Borough of West Chester.

Ms. Shindle has originated roles on Broadway in Wonderland and Legally Blonde: The Musical as well as landing main character roles in Cabaret and Jekyll & Hyde. She maintains an impressive list of film and television appearances including Gossip Girl, The Stepford Wives, White Collar, The Daily Show, Good Morning America and The Tonight Show.

Other performances will include local comedian Stan Tunnell, Shaw Strings, Fate’s Cadence (female a cappella trio) and the presentation of an award-winning film from the West Chester Film Festival. There will also be a few surprise performances as well as opportunities to win prizes, meet local performers and mingle with the area’s arts advocates.

A reception with hors d’oeuvres and beverages for all ticket holders will precede the performances.
