Chester County Hospital Program Helps to Boost the Confidence of Women Cancer Patients

The workshop will include hair and makeup tips for women currently undergoing chemotherapy.

We hear a lot about the internal toll cancer can take on a person.  We hear how it affects organs and cells, tissues and bones.  But cancer is more than an internal disease.

It can effect physical appearance, moods, everything.

Chester County Hospital wants to help.  On Feb. 1, it will be hosting a free program geared for women who have experienced appearance changes from cancer treatments.

The ultimate goal of the non-medical event is to give woman the tools they need while undergoing cancer treatments to help rebuild their confidence.

Workshops will be held at the hospital from 7-9p.m. during which experts will offer skincare tips, makeup lessons, how to deal with hair loss and how to take care of nails.

The workshop comes with a free cosmetic kit that every participant can take home. For more information, please call 610-738-2300.
