2 Arrested in Party Car Flip, Reports Say

A car being flipped near the West Chester Campus is caught on video as police break up a huge beer party.

 

Video posted on Facebook shows what happened early Saturday afternoon when a private car was flipped over by a large crowd of young adults in the 400 block of South Walnut Street in West Chester near the West Chester University campus.

According to a report on the Daily Local website, the party in the 400 block of South Walnut Street spilled out on to the street early Saturday afternoon after police dispersed the party following complaints from neighbors.

Mulitple news reports included video of the car, reportedly a 2002 Pontiac, being flipped on its side by a large crowd.

According to a report by CBS3 reporter Oren Liberman on CBSPhilly.com a party-goer got a rude surprise when he saw whose car had been flipped.

According to the CBS3 report:“A girl came out and yelled that someone’s car got tipped over. I ran outside laughing. Whose car could it be? And it happened to be mine,” said a Penn State-Brandywine student who did not want to be identified."

In a more extensive report with additional video of the incident, 6abc/Action News Reporter Annie McCormick also spoke to the victim who was not identified in the Action News report. According to the Action News report, the victim had paid a $15 admission fee to get into the party which the 6abc reports happened at 411 South Walnut Street near the West Chester University campus.
