Founds Funeral Home's MLK Day Support Helps Cradles to Crayons Achieve Record Collection
Founds Funeral Home's Martin Luther King Day Drop-Off Site Helps Cradles to Crayons Achieve its Largest-Ever Collection Event -
West Chester resident Tara McAllister and son, Matthew, showed their spirit of service on Martin Luther King Day by donating no longer needed clothes, shoes and toys to Cradles to Crayons at the Founds Funeral Home, Inc., drop -off site on High Street. Matthew used the event to complete a service project that reinforced the importance of helping others. Much of his donation was the result of finding suitable books, coats and supplies for children in need. All were earmarked for distribution to children, birth to age 12, living in low-income or homeless situations in the five-county southeastern Pennsylvania area, and were part of the largest region-wide product collection in Cradles to Crayons (www.cradlestocrayons.org) history.
